Homeostasis is a collective game where participants coordinate together with their phones to maintain the stability of the scene and the harmony of the sound.

Homeostasis as a term represents a self-regulating process by which biological systems tend to maintain balance while adjusting to conditions that are optimal for survival. This project visualizes the human effort to retroactively create equilibrium in the Earth’s ecosystems and their inevitable failure.
Exhibition at IAC
Scenes for the big screens were created with Unity and mobile to screen communication was built using node.js and socket.io. The gyroscope data from user's phones are gathered and averaged to be used as change elements in the three separate Unity scenes. Title and credit pages on the big screens were generated using Processing.
